Ronda visited The Duncan Banner for Take Out Tuesday where she ran the hallways, jumped with joy and all-in-all was the best at giving hugs. Ronda is around 10 months old and a Labrador retriever mixed breed. She is available for immediate adoption from the Stephens County Humane Society.

One pup brought the sunshine with her and sparked a little joy as she dashed down the hallway of The Banner office this past Tuesday afternoon.

Ronda, a 10-month-old Labrador retriever mixed breed, shined a light on new friends during Stephens County Humane Society’s (SCHS) Take Out Tuesday when she graced many with her presence.

This sweet girl loves to jump and play, whether its chasing a rope, catching a few treats or taking five for a few pets. Ronda’s exuberant personality brings smiles to everyone she encounters.

While experiencing several adventure’s throughout the day, Ronda made the weekly trek over to R&S Drug where she met more friends and snagged a few extra treats.

This joyful pup dawns a beautiful white coat with a few speckles on her ears, weighing in at around 56 pounds.

Since Ronda is still on the younger side, she is still learning her leash manners, but picks them up quickly and proves eager to find her next family home.

• Time is ticking as the Yolanda DeCarlo Agency moves deeper into the month with its current humane society fundraiser. The agency kicked off its fundraiser on Aug. 1 to benefit SCHS and 100% of the proceeds will go to the nonprofit. The fundraiser is a raffle for two tickets to the Oklahoma State University football game against Arizona State on Sept. 10 in Stillwater.

Raffle tickets are available for $5 for two chances with unlimited purchases available. The raffle will last from Aug. 1 until Sept. 1 and those interested can contact the DeCarlo Agency by going to the office at 1142 N. Highway 81 in Duncan or by calling 580-252-9955.

To inquire about Ronda, Loki, Sherman or any of the other dogs, or to set up an appointment, call 580-252-7387 between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. with weekends having extended hours until 6 p.m.

The SCHS column is sponsored by Tractor Supply Co., Oklahoma Educator’s Credit Union and R&S Drug Store.

The Stephens County Commissioners are considering implementing a use tax for online and out-of-state goods. How do you feel about this?
