Tech giant Apple is set to launch four new iPhone 14 models later this year, with a little tweak in the lineup. The company has reportedly paused the "mini" series for its iPhone 14 series. Instead, the Cupertino-based giant will be bringing a new plus model of the base variant to market. The Apple iPhone 14 series is now expected to be launched in the next few months, but the company has yet to confirm a release date. However, a new report confirms the launch date.

As per iHacktu iLeaks' tweet from last month, the iPhone 14 series will be released on September 13, 2022. Moreover, the company may begin shipping the new iPhones by September 23, with pre-orders beginning on September 16. The event will reportedly launch other devices as well, including the Apple Watch Series 8.

Now, tipster DuanRui has tweeted an image in which the iPhone 14 series can be seen in four variants, namely the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. As per the tipster, the vanilla iPhone 14 and 14 Pro are believed to have 6.1-inch displays, while the iPhone 14 Plus model and 14 Pro Max would have 6.7-inch panels. These models are similar to the metal moulds we saw a few months ago.

To distinguish the new iPhone 14 vanilla models from the Pro models, Apple is believed to ship the Pro models with the new A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will come with last year's A15 Bionic chips. Secondly, the front punch-hole would be present only on Pro models and not on vanilla ones.

As per another image posted on Weibo by DuanRui, the reported iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphone will likely have a larger camera module as compared to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which may be a sign of new camera hardware coming to the 14 Pro Max.

One of the major updates to the iPhone 14 series is that Apple will finally be taking a plunge and introducing a 48 MP camera. Almost every major report has corroborated this update, including one by popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who also claims that the iPhone 14 could be the first to come with an auto-focusing feature for its selfie camera.

Kuo also claims that the iPhone 14 will get the biggest camera update since the iPhone 11. The selfie shooter could ship with an Auto Focus feature, a 6P lens, and an f/1.9 aperture.
