The flex war between the ruling party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of Telangana and opposition BJP is once again back in focus as they compete to outdo each other on September 17 'Liberation Day' celebrations.
Hitting out at Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP, TRS put up banners outside Parade grounds asking questions ''Modi Sarkar gives Rs 300 crore for 60 years of Goa liberation day. Zero for Telangana National Integration day. Amit Shah ji can you announce for Telangana too on Sept 17?''
Another banner that read "WELCOME 40% KARNATAKA CM" was also installed outside Parade Grounds in an apparent dig at CM Bommai in view of the allegations made by Opposition that his government demands 40 per cent as bribe from common man.
In July, during the BJP National Executive meeting in Hyderabad, similar banners were displayed by the TRS questioning the Centre.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations are being organised across the state by the Centre. Arrangements have been made to hold a huge public meeting at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. Along with them, several central ministers, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde were present. Amit Shah unfurled the national flag at the parade grounds.
